About Me
My Experience
I've worked at Disney Publishing for over 10 years supporting, creating, managing, and innovating digital publishing. In my tenure, I've learned how to manage teams, third-party relationships, distribution, product development, and create efficient end-to-end production workflows. My role afforded me tremendous collaboration with several lines of business including Sales, Marketing, Licensing, Production, Operations, Art, Design, and Editorial.
Disney taught me a lot about working at large corporations, and there are few as big as Disney. The politics, the speed, and the importance of strong, thoughtful leadership. I recognize in myself an innate ability to carry compassion and business acuity simultaneously.
My Skillset
Excellent communicator across a wide variety of disciplines. Problem solver and self-starter. I’ve learned how to adapt in fast-paced working environments. I work incredibly well within a team and have demonstrated myself as a trusted leader by my peers and colleagues. Empathy, especially in the current landscape, runs deep personally and professionally for me. My values are congruent inside and outside of the workplace.
Proficient in XTHML, CSS, XML, EPUB, MOBI, MS Office, SMILE, Apple Script Editor, Adobe Suite, JIRA, Transmit, and FileZilla.
My Goals
I’m redefining my career path and taking a sharp turn into journalism – more specifically sports journalism and broadcasting. I officially kicked-off my new journey by enrolling at CSULB in 2022 and I expect to graduate in 2024. My goal is to transition into the industry and apply my current professional expertise. Before school started, I created a Substack to find my voice in the sports world. Admittedly, I haven't posted in some time. School has been priority number one.
